We've brought together the experience and resources of professional meteorologists from three separate companies. Now together as Weather Briefings, Inc., the CEO's of those three companies alone bring you more than 70 years of experience.

We have years of experience forecasting for construction companies, power utilities, ski resorts, radio and television stations, special events, concerts and fairs, country clubs, snow plow operations, government agencies, lawn and landscape, farms, orchards, cattle ranches, major motion pictures, local production companies, hot-air and gas balloon races, just to name a few.

Meet the Team

John Travers - CEO/President - In 1979, as a high school student, John began Weathertron. At that time there was a wide open market for media and business weather forecasts. John and his small team got their start accurately calling important forecasts. One prominent radio station program director stated that the forecasts were, "more accurate than other weather service's."

John went on to work at an ABC affiliate in Kansas City, and then launched a larger 24-hour operation in Detroit with the help of a full time team of professional meteorologists. Their success grew rapidly. Soon after, they were blessed with an opportunity to appear on the Today Show. The meteorological staff also grew with University of Michigan interns.

In his senior year of high school, John became interested in a different vocation and decided to move on. Recently John has teamed up again with his former Weathertron partner, Bob Kucken, and formed the next level of weather forecasting - Weather Briefings.
